More than one student has neared graduation only to discover the perfect opportunity or resource—which might have been
more fully experienced if only it had made itself known years before. Here are some of our extra-curricular and extraordinary
curricular programs.
The Graduate Literary Organization (GLO) is a pre-professional organization that provides support, both social and academic, for
graduate students in the MA in English, MFA in Creative Writing, and MA/MS in Writing programs. Examples of GLO activities include literary
readings, professional development workshops, and informal meetings to discuss graduate advocacy, community building, and
coordination of a Call for Papers Contest.
Check out the GLO Blog to find out about social events,
writing contests, internships, readings, workshops, and more. Submissions? Contact the current GLO
coordinators: Nicole Herbert and Dinah Sheehan.
